Can we save the night sky from satellite streaks?

As much of the world has slowed down amid COVID-19, the same cannot be said for the burgeoning small satellite broadband industry. In recent weeks, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced he hopes to move the company’s Starlink broadband service to public beta in about six months. And that very same day, the Federal Communications Commission unanimously approved new rules for preventing orbital debris and collisions in space (those rules have been revised so as to not hamper NASA, but they still require more analysis, tracking, and disclosure

Samsung Galaxy A51 review: Great screen, bad performance

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is one of Samsung’s biggest mid-range entries for 2020. This is the first time Samsung’s A-series has been available in the US, arriving as an affordable option for people who want a Samsung smartphone but don’t want to pay $1,000 to get one.

With so much competition in the mid-range, is it a good option for the price? Find out in Android Authority’s Samsung Galaxy A51 review.

About this Samsung Galaxy A51 review: I used the Galaxy A51 for six days on Google Fi. Throughout the review period, the phone was running OneUI 2.1 based on

Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro mini-review: A vast improvement

The past year has brought big changes to the iPad. First, the branch from iOS to iPadOS—and some accompanying changes to the

Samsung Galaxy A50 review: Samsung’s best mid-range option

Last year if you told me Samsung would soon make some of the best mid-range smartphones, I would have laughed you off. Samsung’s mid-range J and A-series phones were utterly incompetent, with designs straight out of 2015. It took longer than expected, but the Chinese assault has finally had an effect. Samsung is now playing on the offensive and the Galaxy A50 is the best example of what happens when the company decides to get serious. Marking the top end of the A series (for now), the Galaxy A50 takes phones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Pocophone

Beats confirms four new colors of Powerbeats Pro will launch on June 9th

Beats today announced four new colors of its Powerbeats Pro true wireless earbuds. The new hues are much brighter and more vibrant than the original lineup and include yellow, pink, red, and blue. They’ll be available from Apple’s website, stores, and other retailers on June 9th for the standard $249.95 price point.

In lieu of a press release, Beats “announced” the new colors in collaboration with gaming organization FaZe Clan.

The Powerbeats Pro were first released in April 2019, and it’s quite common for Beats to release new colors of its products. However, these new Powerbeats Pro also passed through

Why Donald Trump’s war on Big Tech is doomed to fail

Donald Trump is mad at Twitter, Facebook, and other big technology companies, and in an Oval Office statement on Thursday, he pledged to do something about it.

“A small handful of social media monopolies controls a vast portion of all public and private communications in the United States,” he said. “They’ve had unchecked power to censor, restrict, edit, shape, hide, alter, virtually any form of communication between private citizens and large public audiences.”

After his comments, Trump signed an executive order designed to bring social media companies to heel. But Trump has a problem: US law doesn’t give the president

Premium hardware let down by unpolished software

Xiaomi launched in India with its high-end Mi series phones, but much of the company’s success in the market has been built on the back of its exceedingly popular Redmi series. In fact, the last major Mi-branded product in India was the Mi Mix 2, a device that got a fair amount of hype but didn’t do much for Xiaomi.

Last year, Xiaomi decided to spin off Redmi into a separate brand in a bid to shake off its affordable device connotations. Now, with the launch of the Mi 10, the company is making moves to carve out a

Redmi Note 8 review: A quality mid-range smartphone

While the Redmi Note Pro series is the mid-range leader for Xiaomi, the company has maintained a fantastic tier-two option for users who don’t want to spend as much, but still want some of the niceties introduced by the new generation of hardware. Accompanying the Redmi Note 8 Pro, a phone that we rated very highly in our review, is the all-new Redmi Note 8. The phone comes in somewhere between the Redmi Note 7S that it replaces, and the higher-end Redmi Note 8 Pro.

The Redmi Note series has almost always been an easy recommendation for its
