Samsung’s 5G A71 will release in the US starting on June 19th

Samsung’s Galaxy A71 5G, which sits at the top of its midrange A-series lineup, will launch in the US starting on June 19th, the company announced today. Initially, the handset will be available from T-Mobile, Sprint, and Samsung.com, and AT&T says that it will have the phone available in its stores on July 10th. Samsung says that the phone will be coming to Verizon and other carriers later this summer along with an Unlocked by Samsung model.

Samsung has opened up preorders for both of the new, curved QHD gaming monitors that debuted at CES 2020. The first, the Odyssey G7, comes in two sizes, 27 and 32 inches, which are priced at $699.99 and $799.99, respectively. The bigger 49-inch Odyssey G9 with a 32:9 aspect ratio costs $1,699.99.

Each model has a 1440p QLED 1000R curved VA panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and support for FreeSync 2 and G-Sync variable refresh rate technologies. These should make gameplay look super smooth, assuming your graphics card can deliver high frame rates.

Samsung is no stranger to themed special-edition smartphones, having offered Galaxy phones emblazoned with Batman logos and Star Wars themes in the past. The latest collaboration is a Galaxy S20 Plus BTS Edition, with a matching set of Galaxy Buds Plus to go with it.

The Galaxy S20 Plus BTS Edition looks like Samsung’s regular flagship, but with a unique iridescent purple exterior (the color is heavily associated with the K-pop group) that has a BTS logo on the back and the band’s heart iconography on the camera array.
